SVHP’s clinically integrated network locally is unique in Connecticut and in the United States. It was nationally recognized and validated through URAC accreditation and first in country to do so.

Why the accreditation? Why should a patient seek care with an SVHP physician? What makes us different?

URAC is a nationally recognized accrediting organization that aligns more than 30 standards to acknowledge that an organization has providers collectively collaborating to improve patient care cost effectively, recognizes that an organization is focused on patient experience and improved outcomes, and applies quality requirements throughout the continuum of care (ensuring patients effectively meet the treatment planning between locations of service). URAC’s onsite survey validates that  SVHP as an organization is committed to and demonstrates continual improvement of quality, protection of consumers, and improvement of  outcomes. SVHP is the only healthcare organization in Connecticut to achieve accreditation, and nationally only a few organizations have transparently opened themselves to URAC’s survey process. URAC’s standards reflect the Department of Justice antitrust guidelines.

SVHP is a non-profit, non-stock, Connecticut Healthcare organization whose physicians and providers participate through their active memberships. SVHP not only offers a high-value healthcare network in Connecticut, but has expanded its medical management capabilities to employers in Maryland, New York, and Washington, D.C.
