We are very close to completing the Anthem contract and anticipate bringing it to membership for approval in the next few weeks. The PHO contract will be the first quality based reimbursement model in the state for Anthem.
Discussions with SmartHealth-the hospital self-insured product continue as well. We are still on target for an effective date of July 1st.

Clinical Integration Platform
MedVentive is coming!!! Great news…the contract was signed on Monday, February 25, 2013, and the implementation plan is being finalized through the IT committee.
The Clinical Integration tool, McKesson Population Manager TM, is a network collaboration platform to achieve clinical integration and drive focused improvements in care delivery and population health.
McKesson Risk Manager TM , allows you to analyze and improve the entire spectrum of cost and quality challenges such as patient profiling, Pay-for-Performance (P4P) management, generic prescribing, HEDIS compliance and more.
Over the next few weeks we will begin to reach out to your practices to schedule training for MedVentive.
URAC is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers a wide range quality benchmarking program and services to keep pace with the rapid changes in the health care system, and provides a symbol of excellence for organizations to validate their commitment to quality and accountability.
St. Vincent’s Health Partners is one of the first PHOs in the country to be a test site for URAC Accreditation. Part of the Accreditation process consists of an onsite visit which will take place on Friday, March 1st. SVHP will be presenting on Quality Metrics, Care Coordination, Population Management and Healthcare Analytics that will be provided through the PHO. Many of you pass by 2754 Main Street every day and are able to see the transformation that is taking place from the older home to our new office. Despite the snow storm, the move in date was only set back one week at this point. The new tentative move date is the week of March 18th. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House are being planned after we complete our move. Invitations will be sent out within the next few weeks.
Because of the rapid changes that are occurring with health care reform, it is important that our members are kept abreast of these changes. We will offer a monthly provider education series on such topics as “What is a Clinically Integrated Network?”, “ Patient Centered Medical Home” and “Patient Engagement”. All SVHP members are encouraged to participate in one of our committees. There are currently 3 working committees for you to consider:
Quality and Utilization Review Committee: The Quality and Utilization Review Committee assists the board in overseeing, ensuring and improving the quality and appropriateness of clinical care, patient safety, and satisfaction provided throughout the organization, and in shaping a strategy to achieve a high level of health throughout the greater Bridgeport community. The Committee meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00-8:00 a.m.
Information Technology Committee: The Information technology committee assists the board in overseeing the development of Health Information Technology Infrastructure and data management plans necessary to maintain high quality care and improve patient health. It meets the fourth Monday of the month at 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Population Health Management and Finance Committee: The Population and Health Management and Finance Committee assists the Board in creating a population health strategy, managed care contracting, and fiscal and oversight duties. It meets the second Thursday of the Month at 6:00-7:00 p.m.
